The ISA Telangana Chapter, formerly part of the undivided Andhra Pradesh, was established to serve anaesthesiologists across the Telangana region. Following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh in June 2014, the Telangana Chapter was formally constituted as a separate entity, with Hyderabad as its headquarters. Since then, the chapter has grown remarkably, emerging as one of the most active and dynamic state branches of the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists.
The ISA Telangana chapter has been instrumental in organizing flagship annual conferences, including ISACON Telangana, which rotates across major cities such as Hyderabad, Warangal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Khammam, and Mahabubnagar. These conferences provide vital platforms for knowledge exchange, research presentation, and professional networking among anaesthesiologists, intensivists, and pain specialists. Over the years, ISA Telangana has successfully hosted numerous CME programs, hands-on workshops, and national-level events, including the prestigious ISA YUVACON, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.Beyond academic excellence, ISA Telangana is deeply committed to community service and patient safety. The chapter has launched several impactful initiatives, including public helplines for anaesthesia-related queries, pre-surgical counseling services, emergency support, and health awareness campaigns.
